We have a selection of venues to suit your wedding party and can cater for up to 100 guests with ease and comfort. Our Functions Manager Maritta Harvey can handle everything for you, from menu and beverage package selection to liaising with the florist, your day will be professionally organized so you can spend your time celebrating with your guests.

The Shamrock at Mackay is also one of the few venues in the region where you can have your ceremony and reception in the one place. You can take your special vows under our beautiful gazebo complete with pool and rock waterfall or you may choose the tropical ambience of the Courtyard . Both locations provide an excellent backdrop for memorable photographs that you will cherish forever.

Your wedding guests will enjoy the convenience of staying in-house in the regions newest luxury accommodation. Just a short stroll from your choice of your reception area guests can relax in one of our 28 self-contained units, all with private balconies. These units are just 5 minutes from the City Heart and are conveniently fitted out with direct dial phones, air conditioning, satellite TV. A washing machine, dryer and microwave oven complete the package of luxury, affordable accommodation. Disabled facilities are available, together with the full use of hotel facilities to make your guests stay as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Wedding Packages

The Shamrock at Mackay has a variety of exclusive wedding packages to suit every budget. Our Functions Manager can help you put together your own unique wedding menu consisting of your favourite dishes, or you can choose from one of our Wedding Menu packages. Magnificent hot and cold buffet style dining will allow your guests to serve themselves from a wonderful array of mouthwatering dishes.

Wedding night Accommodation.

As part of our exclusive wedding package, the management of the Shamrock at Mackay would like to offer the Bride and Groom a chilled bottle of champagne when booking into the Gardenview Motel.
