welcome to the SoBar
The Lower North Shore institution know as ‘The Megahole’ at Hotel Cremorne has been transformed and reinvented with a two million dollar fit out by Design innovators SJB.
The arrival journey begins through a narrow black and white striped mosaic tunnel illuminated with slots of neon. From here the space opens into a moody lounge room punctuated with fuscia banquettes and fuscia spot lights surrounded by shimmering silver screens.
A monolithic black granite bar, sliced with strawberry marble wraps around the lounge area and into a standing area where the strawberry marble caps high drinking tables. Beyond the drinking tables an illuminated dance floor heightens the intensity of the room while further shimmering screens provide a back drop to the Asian inspired upper bar, where weeping willow super graphic covers the wall giving a serene response to the ‘willow ware’ blue granite bar opposite.
A green tunnel of leather padded walls and banquette seating reinforces the entry experience and provides a chilled out ‘hide-out’ between the upper and lower bars. D√©cor combined with state of the art sound system has created a unique late night venue that will satisfy all your late night fun!” |
